ESSHI Program Director

RISE Housing and Support Services is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, self-motivated leader, to direct the daily operations of the ESSHI (Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative) apartments at our Riverview and Dominic Hollow locations.  A successful candidate will be able to inspire staff to help our residents manage the life challenges their mental health and/or substance use diagnoses have presented, while maintaining a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment.

RISE offers a ESSHI Program Director:

  • A rate of $26.71 to $29.38 per hour on a 36-hour workweek

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the ESSHI programs at Dominic Hollow and Riverview in collaboration with the Residential Director
  • Providing supportive services and ensuring a safe and supportive environment
  • Managing escalated and crisis situations and utilizing community resources as appropriate
  • Supervising program staff
  • Modeling positive and appropriate behaviors for staff and participants
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures

To qualify you must have:

  • An Associate Degree in human services or a related field and 1+ years of experience working with sensitive populations
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
    • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
  • Excellent crisis management and dispute resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries

  • Successful completion of RISE background checks, a valid driver’s license and a driving history acceptable to the RISE automobile policy
