Licensed Social Worker

RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunity for a skilled social worker to join the team our newest recovery program RISE Above, in Ballston Spa, NY.  A successful candidate will enjoy supporting program participants  during their stay with us, as they work toward recovery from chemical dependency.  This position will have the unique opportunity to enter at the ground floor of an innovative new program that meets an important community need.

RISE offers a Licensed Social Worker:

  • A starting base wage of $31.25 per hour
  • $1500 bonus after 6 months of employment

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing psychotherapy services to residents as needed
  • Facilitate community meetings and group counseling sessions
  • Acclimating residents to physical surroundings, program philosophy and expectations
  • Participating in crisis intervention
  • Complying with all relevant regulations governing the program

To qualify you must have:

  • Must be a LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC and have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in the case of individuals afflicted with chemical dependency
  • An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries
  • Our shared belief system in areas such as compassion, respect, positivity, and inclusion
  • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
  • A valid NY State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program desired
