RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunity for an empathetic, dedicated, and compassionate individual to provide peer support to the residents of our recovery program. A successful candidate will be able to assist residents in cultivating the skills they need to build self-confidence and gain independence. This individual must have the ability utilize their lived experience to appropriately respond to the needs of sensitive populations, such as those recovering from substance use.
RISE offers a Peer Support Specialist:
- A rate of $20 per hour

To qualify you must have:
- Experience working with sensitive populations
- NYS Peer Support Specialist Certification
- An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
- Excellent conflict management and dispute resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal boundaries
- Our shared belief system in areas such as respect, compassion, and inclusion
- Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
- A valid NY State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program desired
