December 2024 Staff Recognitions

Please join us in congratulating the December 2024 Recognition Recipients!

Rise to the Occasion Recognition

The Rise to the Occasion Recognition is given to individuals who see a need within the agency and go above and beyond to fill that need.

Please join us in congratulating Valarie Miller and Henry Steves, ESSHI Counselors, as the December Rise to the Occasion Recognition recipients. Val and Henry’s commitment to working day in and day out to support ESSHI residents does not go unnoticed. In addition to assisting residents, they never hesitate to step in and support other staff members. Facing the challenges of moving individuals to a new building is not easy, yet Val and Henry make everything flow seamlessly. They also have positive, bright energy and approach each day with a smile, making Riverview a better place for all residents and staff!

Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition

The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job.

Please join us in congratulating Maegan Williams-Howarth, OASAS OES Director, as the December Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition recipient. Maegan is a team player and is always filling in the gaps when it comes to the outreach department. Maegan goes above and beyond for clients who are not even on her caseload.

Despite staffing challenges in her program, she is able to manage and keep her program running. Maegan is an asset to RISE, and we are so pleased to have her on our outreach team! Maegan is kind, caring, and compassionate about the population we serve and the work we do. We are excited that Maegan will be getting her CRPA certification this December and cannot wait to see how she continues to help those working through recovery.

Staff on the Rise

Staff on the Rise is an employee recognition program which recognizes staff who possess an exemplary work ethic, excel on the job, are team players, and are an inspiration to others.

Please join us in congratulating Amy Perkins, Supported Housing Program Director, as the December Staff on the RISE Recognition recipient. Amy is the new Supported Housing Program Director and RISE is confident that she’s going to do a wonderful job!

Amy has worked at RISE for over 20 years and held various roles throughout her career. She is known for her kindness, and she truly treats our residents like family. She is exactly the kind of person to be a role model for compassion and dedication.
