We are thrilled to introduce Alan Walther, President of the RISE Board of Directors.
A Wealth of Experience
RISE has been honored to have Alan serving on the RISE Board of Directors since 2017 and as Board President since 2020. As a Certified Public Accountant and Partner at the Bonadio Group, an accounting and consulting firm, he brings a wealth of knowledge to our board. With his deep understanding of finance and management, Alan is well-equipped to provide the insight and leadership that will continue to help guide RISE through our growth and development. As the Board President, he provides guidance and counsel on where the agency should go operationally.
Passion for Community
Beyond Alan’s impressive professional background, he is deeply passionate about how involved RISE is in the community and appreciates the positive impact we have on the most vulnerable populations. Aa a philanthropist, Alan is proud to be involved with an agency that provides so many resources to the Saratoga community.
“I really do see the great work the professional staff at RISE does to help people turn their lives around!” he shares.
Alan currently lives in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Wendy. They have four grown daughters and two golden retrievers, Marcy and Henry. Together, they enjoy a variety of recreational activities that help them unwind and stay active including, as Alan says, “Enjoying everything Saratoga Springs has to offer!”
On weekends, Wendy and Alan often head outdoors to ride bikes and walk their dogs, appreciating the fresh air and the tranquility of nature. They appreciate living a close distance to various mountains were they frequently go hiking and skiing.
They also love trying new, local restaurants but also frequenting their favorites; Solevo, Morrissey’s, and Hamlet and Ghost. Whether spending time with family, attending the Saratoga Race Course, or strolling through the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, they always make time for activities that bring joy and a sense of fulfillment.

We know that Alan will continue to be a key asset at RISE as we continue our journey towards expanding our reach in our communities. His unique perspective, dedication, and leadership will help ensure we continue to make a positive impact.
