Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition
The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job. Rise to the Extra Mile honorees get to park in a designated parking space at the RISE administration office.
Please join us in congratulating Julia D’Agostino, Administrative Assistant, as the December Rise to the Extra Mile honoree! Julia is a welcoming presence at our front desk. Her interactions with the individual we server are filled with compassion, gentleness, and sincerity. Julia has also been filling in as relief, picking up extra shifts, including the overnight shifts at our community residences.

Rise to the Occasion Recognition
The Rise to the Occasion Recognition is given to individuals who see a need within the agency and go above and beyond to fill that need. Please join us in congratulating Progressive Steps Apartment Program (PSAP) Staff members – Amber Pfeiffer, Kali Hammond, Natalie Valachovic, Jasmine Allen-Myer, Tierra Austin-Madyun, Jessica Rounds, Matt Durham, and Vita Nemeyer – as the December Rise to the Occasion Recognition recipients.
The PSAP staff has consistently provided excellent care to the individuals that PSAP serves while the program was short staffed. They have each taken on extra responsibilities including increases in the number of participants they work with, covering each other to accommodate each other’s requests for time off, and performing any extra tasks ask of them. Additionally, the PSAP staff have each covered shifts at our Community Residences (CRs) on a weekly basis over the past several months to ensure the CRs all have 24-hour staff on-site.
Amber, Kali, Natalie, Jasmine, Tierra, Jessica, Matt, and Vita have continued to perform at a high level despite the professional challenges of the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent staffing shortage. They each continue to demonstrate the work ethic, insight, and adaptability exemplified in the RISE ethos.
