RISE Housing and Support Services has an entry-level opportunity for an empathetic, insightful, and dedicated individual to join our Supported Housing Apartment team. A successful candidate will be able to navigate the daily duties of the program while keeping their focus on offering high-quality support and advocacy their assigned caseload, as they work to manage the life challenges their mental health diagnoses have presented.
RISE offers a starting Supported Housing Apartment Counselor I:
- A rate of $21.12 per hour
- $1500 bonus after 6 months of employment

Overview of Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with program residents to create, manage and achieve their goals
- Supervising residents’ daily living activities and apartment management to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
- Responding to resident needs and connecting to services as needed
- Maintaining current and accurate documentation on resident progress
- Modeling positive and appropriate behaviors for residents
To qualify you must have:
- An understanding of human services and the dedication to learn
- A willingness to do what needs to be done to meet the goals of the program
- An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal boundaries
- Our shared belief system in areas such as compassion, respect, positivity, and inclusion
- Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
- A valid NY State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program
