Rise to the Occasion Recognition
The Rise to the Occasion Recognition is given to individuals who see a need within the agency and go above and beyond to fill that need.
Congratulations to Jennifer Bunney, Senior Adult Care Manager, as the April Rise to the Occasion Recognition recipient. Jennifer has been a huge asset to the Adult Care Management team!
Jen has graciously learned the ins and outs of Health Home+ and Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT). Jen has risen to the challenge of learning something new, while taking on a leadership role. Jen works hard daily to make sure that the people we serve have their needs met. Jen’s coworkers feel it is a pleasure to collaborate with her!
Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition
The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job. Rise to the Extra Mile honorees get to park in a designated parking space at the RISE administration office.
Congratulations to the Adelphi Street volunteers – Steve Bault, Sherie Grinter, Giving Circle, Minister Steve Boxley, Lifeworks Community Action, and Bethel, Ballston Spa Presbyterian, Saratoga Methodist, and Mechanicville Methodist Churches, as the April Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition recipients.
Many of these volunteers have been there since day one, assisting with the opening of the shelter itself. Their dedication to assisting us in our mission and improving the lives of our shelter guests solely out of the kindness of their hearts is nothing short of astounding. They provide shelter coverage, assist with chores, prepare meals onsite, serve meals, and connect with our guests in a way that makes them feel SEEN and CARED FOR. RISE is so grateful for everything they do to make the Adelphi St Shelter a comforting and supportive place to be!
Staff on the RISE
Staff on the Rise is an employee recognition program which recognizes staff who possess an exemplary work ethic, excel on the job, are team players, and are an inspiration to others.
Congratulations to Odette Facey, Senior Shelter Advocate, at the March Staff on the Rise Recognition recipient. Since Odette has joined the shelter staff, she has been a model employee. Odette has a great approach with the guests at the shelter, as well as the other staff.
Odette is incredibly reliable, and always helps out when she can. Even with having a full-time day job, Odette picks up any urgent open shifts, as well as covers on-call, and fills in for call- outs. Odette is a major asset to the shelter, and I can say for certain, that the Outreach Department would not function as well as it does without Odette!
