April 2022 Staff Recognitions

Please join us in congratulating the April Recognition Recipients!

Executive Director’s Recognition

The Executive Director’s Recognition is given to individuals who’s insight, efforts, and innovation elevate their program.

Congratulations to Elizabeth McFarren,  Adult Care Management Senior Counselor, the April Executive Director’s Recognition recipient! Liz has a very calm and soothing manner, and RISE Admin has been impressed with her managing of some very difficult situations. We appreciate her and her skillful communication techniques.

Additionally, for the past few months Liz has been picking up Milestone Manor residents every Thursday Night to transport them to and from the Celebrate Recovery Meeting at Pine Grove Church. The residents enjoy going to the Celebrate Recovery Meeting and the Milestone Manor staff are grateful that she so been so gracious in providing  this service.

Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition

The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job. Rise to the Extra Mile honorees get to park in a designated parking space at the RISE administration office.

Congratulations to Harlan Hall, Clinical Director, as the April Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition recipient! The staff he works with say she is a “great boss” – he is very accessible, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Harlan oversees the RISE Community Outreach Court, Care Management, Housing First, and Hedgerow House. The staff in all these programs appreciate his knowledge, skills, and expert guidance.

Rise to the Occasion Recognition

The Rise to the Occasion Recognition is given to individuals who see a need within the agency and go above and beyond to fill that need.

Congratulations to Ron Farr, a member of the Property Management Team, as the April Rise to the Occasion Recognition recipient! Ron helps whenever he can, whether it be saying hello to everyone or cracking a joke with staff. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to help to assist in mitigating frustrating situations, providing extra support, or doing errands for the community residences.  Ron is friendly and always extends a greeting to help others feel welcome and appreciated.

Special Thanks

We’d also like to extend a special thanks to several staff members for managing a sewer line break at one of our Progressive Steps Apartment Program (PSAP) Apartment buildings in Saratoga Springs.

Our Property Management Team, Stace Shin and Ron Farr, worked tirelessly to get the issue repaired.

Matt Durham, Vita Nemeyer, and our dedicated and talented PSAP team worked quickly to get the residents safely into temporary housing.

Brendan Myers , Human Resources Director, worked with the insurance company in managing the situation.
