Meet Christine Marchesiello, RISE Board Member!

A Wealth of Experience
We’re thrilled to introduce RISE Board of Directors’ member, Christine Marchesiello! Christine, who has been on the RISE Board for six years, brings with her a wealth of experience, a deep commitment to community service, and a passion for making a difference.
As an associate broker and team leader of The Marchisello Team, Christine has a strong background in housing. Her career in real estate aligns perfectly with our mission to provide housing solutions for those in need. Christine is an expert in her field and has received numerous awards throughout her career including winning “Best of the Saratoga Region” for 5 years..
Christine first connected with RISE through a personal invitation from a close friend who was stepping down from the board. Since then, she has become an integral part of the RISE team. As a board member, Christine has contributed her expertise in housing and development to RISE as we continue to develop and expand our housing programs.

“The board is made up of members with expertise in different facets of the community including housing, finance, architecture, and chemical dependence,” Christine explains. “By bringing us all together with our individual areas of knowledge, we are able to inform the bigger picture of what RISE does in the community, act as a system of checks and balances of the major decisions the agency makes and vote on all of the major projects.”
With her expansive knowledge of the housing market, Christine has helped RISE understand the complexities of housing development. Additionally, Christine has lent her experience as an employee and leader to RISE, particularly on the Personnel and Incident Review Committees. She’s helped our administration navigate key hiring decisions and processes.
“Being on the RISE Board has also allowed me to expand my own field knowledge as I have mostly been involved in residential sales. I’ve gotten to see what an undertaking some of the housing projects has been—especially what it takes to get them approved and funded. It’s been incredible, and so impressive to see all the hard work from everyone involved, especially from Sybil Newell and Lindsey Connors, the RISE Executive Director and Associate Executive Director.”
“Housing is a basic human need,” she continues. “Everyone deserves a safe and stable place to live. Sybil has taught me that people really can’t grow at all without somewhere that they can call home. They can’t take the next step in their lives. So that inspires me to give back in that way, because I just believe that housing is a core human right. “
Passion for Community
Christine believes in giving back to the community through both her time and her resources. In addition to being a board member, Christine and the Marchesiello Team have made several generous monetary contributions to RISE over the years. “What I love most about RISE is the authenticity of our mission and the dedication of the people who work here. It has been truly inspirational for me to see what goes into even the smallest win. The love and care that all the employees have, that the leadership has, the true desire to help is just so motivating.
Christine and the Marchesiello Team are also active supporters of several other local organizations, including Things of My Very Own, an emergency service nonprofit in Schenectady that Christine admires and feels especially passionate about supporting.

Christine lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband, Dominick, and their two daughters. They enjoy pursuing downtown Saratoga and all that it offers, spending time in the Saratoga Spa State Park, and attending events at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). They also enjoy traveling and exploring the beauty of Lake George and the Adirondacks. She’s also a proud dog mom to her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Kobe.
Thank You, Christine!
RISE is thankful for Christine’s service on the RISE Board and for her and her team’s monetary contributions to the agency. We are excited to see the positive impact she’ll continue to make in the coming years.
