Accounting Manager

RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunity for an organized, detail oriented, and dedicated individual to support the accounting department at our growing agency. A successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while assisting the Chief Financial Officer in providing positive and supportive leadership to the accounting team.

RISE offers the Accounting Manager:

  • A starting salary of 65k to 75k based on education and experience
  • $1500 bonus after 6 months of employment

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Department supervision and staff training under the direction of the CFO
  • Monitoring/managing payroll and general ledger entries
  • Managing the QA of all revenue streams and reconciling with the general ledger monthly
  • Conducting audit analysis and preparation of other agency fiscal review
  • Preparing CBR, CQR, CFR, county vouchers and other related funding requirements

To qualify you must have:

  • An Associate Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting role; leadership experience a plus
    • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience in non-profit accounting practices including CFR
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and people skills
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries

  • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
  • A valid NY State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program
