On March 29, 2025, Riverview Apartments hosted an amazing community event in collaboration with Pitney Meadows Community Farm, Skidmore College, Potted Planter and Saratoga Center for the Family. The purpose of the event was to get input from the community to help shape food and health programs in Saratoga County. We are so grateful to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make this event a great success!
The event brought residents together to learn, grow, and connect with the resources available in our community. From seed starting workshops to interactive health and nutrition activities, there was something for everyone.

Highlights of the Day:
Seed Starting Workshop: Led by Pitney Meadows Community Farm, this hands-on activity gave residents the chance to learn about growing their own food and the benefits of sustainable gardening.
Health & Nutrition: Residents interacted with representatives from Potted Planter and Saratoga Center for the Family to focus on improving health and food access. There were great discussions and tips for better eating habits and accessing healthy food.
Community Surveys: Skidmore College students were on hand to gather valuable feedback from residents through surveys. This input will help expand the community programs, making them even more accessible to everyone.

Why It Was Special:
The event was designed to build connections, share knowledge, and empower residents to make a positive impact on their health and community. We had an incredible turnout, with over 20 residents coming together to support this important initiative.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success! We’re excited to continue fostering community engagement and to keep working toward a healthier, more connected Saratoga County.
Stay tuned to see how this pilot will benefit our community!
