Advocacy and Outreach

At RISE Housing and Support Services we believe that advocacy promotes equality, social justice, social inclusion, and human rights.

Our advocacy effort aims to make things happen in the most direct and empowering ways possible. It recognizes that self-advocacy – whereby people, perhaps with encouragement and support, speak out and act on their own behalf – is the ultimate aim.

Outreach is part of our commitment to help end homelessness in our community. The RISE Outreach team reaches out to individuals who are experiencing homelessness providing referrals to community resources including food, shelter, and other provisions.

Justice Involved Individuals

Justice Involved Individuals are provided advocacy and support for individuals involved in the Justice System through the Saratoga Springs Community Outreach Court.

Outreach and Engagement Services

Outreach and Engagement Services (OES) is a pilot program under the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) that focuses on providing street-level outreach and engagement services in the community to populations who typically have difficulty accessing treatment.

Adelphi Street Shelter

The Adelphi Street Shelter is a low-barrier, 24-hour shelter for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Care Management services are provided,  but not required as the aim of the shelter is a place where people can have a safe roof over their heads and a place to be be during the day.

Referrals for Advocacy and Outreach

Referrals are not necessary for our Advocacy and Outreach Programs.  Our Advocacy and Outreach services are provided in Saratoga County, but we can refer you to supportive services in surrounding counties as needed. Please call for more information or if you require Advocacy or Outreach services.
