March 2023 Staff Recognitions

Please join us in congratulating the March Recognition Recipients!

Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition

The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job. Rise to the Extra Mile honorees get to park in a designated parking space at the RISE administration office.

Congratulations to Morgan Murdza, Youth Care Management Program Supervisor, as the March Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition recipient. Morgan has gone above and beyond her position’s expectations for the past several months by going the extra mile to make sure the Youth Care Management team has everything they need to feel supported and to provide the best services possible to the family and youth in their care.

Rise to the Occasion Recognition

The Rise to the Occasion Recognition is given to individuals who see a need within the agency and go above and beyond to fill that need.

Congratulations to Jennifer Bunney, Adult Care Manager, as the March Rise to the Occasion Recognition recipient. Jennifer started in Care Management as an intern and jumped right in, tackling projects right away. Jennifer has since transitioned from being an intern to full time employee. She has grown into a wonderful Care Manager who looks out for each of her clients and supports other staff members. Jennifer works hard to make sure clients are advocating for themselves as well as gaining independent skills along the way. Recently, Jennifer and the Adult Care Management Program Supervisor, Elizabeth McFarren, had a stressful situation in which they immediately jumped into action to support the individual in a crisis.

Julianne he has worked very hard to get the Hedgerow House team back to full staff status and she is instrumental to the cohesiveness and camaraderie of this team and the program. Her staff strongly believes that they have such a strong team at Hedgerow House because of her and her work ethic. Nicole Smarro, Program Supervisor, shares, “She has pushed me to not give up on OASAS programs and to continue to strive towards earning my Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). She manages this program and the people in a professional manor and she is always a positive light.”
