Christine has shown above and beyond standards in her work daily since starting with SunRISE Retreat in April 2023. She has done everything she has been asked to and more. She has shown teamwork has value and adds a fun spirit to the workplace. Thank you, Christine!
Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition
The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job. Rise to the Extra Mile honorees get to park in a designated parking space at the RISE administration office.
Congratulations to Heather Ball, Senior Adult AOT Care Manager, as the March Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition recipient!
Heather goes above and beyond for her clients. She is available and responsive, always offering to help where she can. Heather often volunteers to help with clients not on her caseload, she covers clients when others are out of the office, gives folks rides, deescalates folks in the lobby who are upset and helps in any way she can.
Heather’s patience and work ethic are inspiring. Thank you Heather!
Staff on the RISE
Staff on the Rise is an employee recognition program which recognizes staff who possess an exemplary work ethic, excel on the job, are team players, and are an inspiration to others.
Congratulations to Marco Amantini, Shelter Advocate, as the March Staff on the Rise Recognition recipient! Marco joined the Adelphi Street Shelter right out of college in June 2023 as a completely green staff member. Since then Marco has excelled in his role and was quickly promoted from relief staff to support staff, and again to the shelter advocate position.
Marco’s co-workers and clients alike appreciate his calm manner and his ability to relate with clients on a deep level. Marco is a black belt in judo and utilizes his mindfulness techniques while working with clients. He also organizing groups to teach shelter guests mindfulness. Marco is always eager to learn and open to opportunities to grow.
