Hedgerow House staff and residents would like to thank Nancy Deeb for her dedication to persons in recovery at Hedgerow House and throughout Saratoga County.
Nancy is a member of Pine Grove Community Church. She is also a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) and she is very involved at the Healing Springs Recovery Community Center. Over the past year, she has been consistently going above and beyond in the help she provides to the residents of Hedgerow House.
Every Sunday, Nancy picks up residents for church and arranges for additional drivers when the number of residents needing a ride exceeds the space in her vehicle. She has consistently taken residents out to lunch following church service at her own expense. Nancy has also assisted residents with other transportation needs that are not covered by MAS, the non-emergency Medicaid transportation management company.
Healing Springs hosts “Serenity Saturday” – a weekly fishing trip at one of the nearby LOCKS for individuals in recovery. Nancy is part of the team that organizes is and assists with transporting and with food for this event.
Nancy even donated a new outdoor grill to Hedgerow House, which residents and staff have greatly enjoyed, using to grill up some tasty meals over this past summer!
Both the staff and residents of Hedgerow House wish to share with Nancy about how truly valued and loved she is. We are most grateful and thankful for her positive attitude, limitless kindness, and generosity. Nancy is a gleaming example of the “it takes a village” concept.
