Volunteering in Recovery

Join us in Celebrating National Recovery Month – a national observance held every September to create public awareness about addiction recovery and the the nation’s strong and proud recovery community. The aim of Recovery Month is to promote evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, and the dedication of service providers and communities who make recovery in all its forms possible.

Volunteering is an evidence based practice that RISE uses to assist individuals with their recovery. It is a powerful tool that can help those in recovery by providing a sense of purpose, improving mental health, and building a supportive network. In this video, Hedgerow House staff discuss the benefits of volunteering in addiction recovery.
