SunRISE Retreat – An Intensive Crisis Residence (ICR) – A voluntary 28-day residential program with 24-hour professional support, for individuals who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis and/or are experiencing challenges in daily life that create risk for an escalation of symptoms that cannot be managed in the individual’s home or community environment without onsite supports.
SunRISE Retreat is a home-like setting with private rooms, 24-hour professional support, home-style meals, and recreational/wellness activities.
Services Provided
- Therapy Services – Comprehensive assessment, engagement, and support for co-occurring disorders by a licensed mental health professional, individual and group counseling; safety planning; peer support; therapeutic group activities, skill building instruction.
- Medication Management – Assessment by a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Medication management, monitoring, and therapy. Registered Nurses on staff for Medication management and additional support.
- Collaboration – Engagement with identified supports; case management activities which emphasize discharge planning and includes continuity of care between service transitions; collaboration and linkages with service providers in the community that provide ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Eligibility & Fees
- At least 21 years old
- Experiencing an acute mental health crisis
- Willing and able to actively participate in programming that will help them improve functional skills in order to return to their pre-crisis living situation
- Daily fees are typically covered by Medicaid
Referrals
Individuals may self-refer, and Mental or Physical Health Professionals may refer adults to SunRISE Retreat by submitting the SunRISE Retreat Referral Packet.
