RISE Administration expresses express gratitude to our staff and to the individuals in our programs for the strides RISE has made in 2020 despite the challenges 2020 presented. The efforts made to keep everyone healthy and safe through the COVID-19 pandemic enabled us to effectively and efficiently continue to conduct business – often in innovative and new ways – despite uncertainty.

2019 was an exciting year of building and rebuilding for Transitional Services Association. After significant program changes in 2018, we spent the year rebuilding our care management team, re-envisioning Kaydeross House as a crisis residence, and planning for our future OASAS residential rehabilitation and OMH supportive housing program expansions.

The predominant focus of 2018 was on modernization of our programs and providing trauma-informed services to our clients. The management staff changed in nearly every program, and along with those changes the ‘personality’ of the programs began to evolve in pleasantly unexpected ways. The RISE administrative team demonstrated great flexibility and understanding in guiding program staff through the ever changing environment of health and human services.

Throughout 2017, the agency experienced new growth stemming from the continually evolving world of health care service delivery. The national debates on mental health and the opioid addiction crisis continue to shape our policies and procedures. When these factors become coupled with the natural day-to-day challenges of developing and maintaining our programs and services; it can begin to feel insurmountable. Yet, our staff persevered and we entered 2018 ready to move forward. They remained dedicated to caring for the people we serve despite high caseloads, new paperwork requirements, and other challenges.

2016 Annual Impact Report
2016 was a year marked by significant changes. Several of our long-time administrative and program staff retired or moved into new positions within the field. The natural ebb and flow of our services and programs was punctuated by several developments at both the state and federal levels.
